asked the Minister for Agriculture the present position in regard to an application for a sheep headage grant for a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and whether the application will be processed immediately in view of the long delay to date.

Payment of sheep headage grants cannot to made to this applicant until he furnishes satisfactory replies to inquiries regarding his rights to mountain grazing lands which were addressed to him on three occasions — twice orally and once in writing on 25 August 1980.

asked the Minister for Agriculture reason for the delay in the payment of a cattle headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The cattle headage grant due to this herdowner will be paid within the next two weeks; the problem which caused the delay was resolved recently.
