A grant was not allowed in this case, as an examination by my Department of the plans submitted by the builders showed that the floor area of the house was 135 square metres (1,453 square feet) and exceeded the prescribed maximum floor area of 125 square metres (1,346 square feet) allowed for grant purposes. A garage is not included in the floor area for grant purposes, but no garage was shown on the plans in this case.
