asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant and a grant for conversion to solid fuel will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The solid fuel grant application will be considered when the contractor's certificate of completion of the work is received in my Department.

A reconstruction grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that work has been satisfactorily completed and is eligible for a grant. The inspection will be arranged when the applicant notifies my Department that the work is completed.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The grants for reconstruction and sewerage which have been approved in this case will be paid when an inspection establishes that work has been satisfactorily completed. Notification that work is complete was awaited but, in view of the information now given by the Deputy, an inspection will be arranged as soon as possible.

447.

(Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding an application by two persons (details supplied) in County Cavan for home improvement, sewerage and solid fuel conversion grants; if he is aware that the work covered by these applications has long since been completed; when the work will be inspected and the grants paid; and if he will treat the matter as urgent.

The house improvement and sewerage grants in this case will be paid when an inspection establishes that the works have been satisfactorily completed and are eligible for grants. The inspection will be carried out shortly. The date of receipt of notification that the work was complete is not available as the file is with the inspector. My Department have no record of the receipt of a separate solid fuel grant application from the persons named.
