An additional allocation of £600,000 was made by the Tripartite Committee on Employment to Dublin Corporation for schemes in 1980.
It is not feasible to give details of all the schemes caried out by each local authority in 1980 but examples of the types of works undertaken include the provision of parks, open spaces, playgrounds, other sports facilities, car parks in areas of scenic attraction or recreational utility, tree planting and operations aimed at improving environmental standards and cleanliness.
The allocations for 1981 have not yet been notified.
