asked the Minister for the Environment the regional planning and development groups and local planning authorities which received grants from his Department during 1980; and the amount involved in each case and the purpose thereof.

Following are particulars of the payments made in 1980 towards the cost of the secretarial and operating expenses of the Regional Development Organisations.

North-East Regional Development Organisation, £5,973; Eastern Regional Development Organisation, £6,190; South-East Regional Development Organisation £5,982; Galway/Mayo Regional Development Organisation, £8,286; Limerick/Clare/Tipperary N.R. Regional Development Organisation, £9,499; Midlands Regional Development Organisation, £5,344; South-West Regional Development Organisation, £8,830; Sligo/Leitrim Regional Development Organisation, £1,338; Donegal Regional Development Organisation, £3,562.

asked the Minister for the Environment the allocation that has been made to each regional planning and development group or planning authority for 1981 under subhead V,3 of his Department's Vote.

Payments from the subhead towards the secretarial and operating expenses of the regional development organisations are made on the basis of actual expenditure. Specific allocations for 1981 have not been notified. My Department expect to be in touch with the organisations in the near future as regards the level of provision for the current year.
