Vol. 328 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin City Housing.

10.

asked the Minister for the Environment when his Department proposes to confirm the tender recommended for the construction of houses at Pearse Street/Macken Street/Queen's Terrace, Dublin 2, for Dublin Corporation; and when work will commence on this site.

Dublin Corporation's recommendation for the acceptance of a tender for this scheme is under consideration and a decision thereon will issue to the corporation shortly. It will be for the corporation to decide in consultation with the contractors when work will start on the scheme.

In view of the fact that I put down this question, can the Minister give an assurance that I will be informed at exactly the same time as the Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach?

That is very petty.

I will not get into petty stuff like that.

It may be a source of humour to the Minister of State in the Department of the Environment——

Certainly not.

As a Deputy who does not happen to be on the Government side, am I entitled to ask, or are the Government capable of telling me, when they will make a decision? When they eventually make a decision will the Minister assure me I will be informed at the same time as the Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach, who happens to be my esteemed constituency colleague?

Before me.

I will notify both the Deputy and Deputy Moore, no problem.
