Vol. 328 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Bridge.

12.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of the dangerous condition of the road bridge across the River Finn at Castlefin, County Donegal which is causing grave concern in the locality, because it is believed that it is structurally unsound and that it is therefore a danger to both pedestrians and motorists; and if, in view of the urgency of the matter, he will make funds available to have a new bridge constructed.

I understand that the road authority recently satisfied itself that the bridge has no structural defects which would warrant concern about the main structure and that proposals for minor repairs are being prepared. The latter part of the question does not accordingly arise.
