Vol. 328 No. 2

Written Answers. - County Dublin School Accommodation.

342.

asked the Minister for Education the post-primary schools which at present have places available for children coming from the area to be served by the new Killininny post-primary school near Tallaght, County Dublin; the total number of places he estimates (a) will be required this autumn by primary school leavers in this area and (b) will be available in each of the existing schools to children from this area; and if he is satisfied that an adequate number of places will be available to meet the demand until the Killininny school is opened.

My Department are satisfied that the estimated number of 90 pupils leaving primary schools in 1981 in the area to be catered for by the proposed new school in Killininny can be accommodated in the Community Schools in Old Bawn and in Tallaght. The new school in Killininny is scheduled to open in 1982.
