Vol. 328 No. 3

Written Answers. - General Medical Services Extension.

396.

asked the Minister for Health the cost of extending the general medical services scheme to all children from the age of 12 to 16 years inclusive.

The extension of the general medical service to all persons in this age group would involve a number of factors which cannot easily be costed in advance. Bearing this reservation in mind, it has been estimated that the cost of such an extension may be in the region of £10 million a year.
