Tenders were invited for the extension to Shannonbridge national school on 23 December 1980 and were received on 19 January 1981. Examination of tenders has been completed and the chairman of the board of management was requested to lodge the local contribution. This was received recently and a contract for the work will be placed within the next few days. It is not the practice to disclose details of tendering.
