Vol. 328 No. 9

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

403.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the final payment on a home improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.

As a previous house improvement grant was paid in respect of this house within five years prior to the commencement of the current work a further grant could be made only in respect of the limited categories of work specified in article 16 of the Housing Regulations, 1980. The work carried out does not come within any of these categories and a grant cannot, therefore, be allowed. The applicant has been so informed.

404.

asked the Minister for the Environment the position in regard to the application for the two-thirds grant for the link-up system of solid fuel/oil by a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.

A solid fuel grant of £232 was paid on 25 February 1981. Following representations from the Deputy the Department's supervising inspector has been requested to review the estimated cost of the work on which the amount of the grant was based. When the inspector's report is received the Deputy will be informed whether or not a revision of the amount of grant is warranted.
