Vol. 328 No. 10

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

301.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be connected for a person (details supplied) in County Meath; if there is a shortage of cabling in the area; if so, when the shortage will be remedied; and if there are other telephone applicants in the area who would benefit from the provision of cable.

Service will be provided for this applicant and about 25 others in the vicinity following the completion of about two miles of cabling to serve the area. Because of the volume of engineering work awaiting attention in the district it is unlikely that this work will be carried out until about a year's time.
