Vol. 328 No. 11

Written Answers. - County Galway Fishery.

153.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry when it is intended to take a decision on the future of the 810 acre St. George fishery off the Galway coast in view of the interest the Taoiseach expressed in the fishery when he meet local fishermen on a recent visit to Galway.

I am at present in the process of making arrangements to give effect to the Government's commitment to taking whatever steps are necessary to enable the local fishermen to fish the St. George Fishery and I expect to be able to bring the matter to a favourable conclusion shortly.
