Vol. 328 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Tipperary VEC School Extension.

261.

asked the Minister for Education whether he will approve the building of an extension at Roscrea VEC school, County Tipperary, to cater for 500 students and allow the processing of the working drawings and bills of quantities submitted by North Tipperary VEC to continue in view of the fact that the planning section of his Department has now verbally indicated to the VEC that it wishes to approve the building of an extension to cater for 400 students only having regard to the fact that North Tipperary VEC has recently submitted (a) projections showing that the school will have 500 plus students enrolled in September 1985 and (b) the additional redesign costs arising out of the proposed change.

I have now agreed to allow this project to proceed on the basis of the plans submitted to my Department.
