Vol. 328 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - CRV Fees.

29.

asked the Minister for the Environment the source from which he envisages additional income accruing to his Department in 1981 over 1980 by way of appropriations-in-aid under subhead W.4.

The main source of the additional income which it is estimated will accrue to my Department in the current year under subhead W.4. is the increased fees, from 2 February 1981 for certificates of reasonable value in accordance with article 6 of the Housing Regulations, 1980 (Amendment) Regulations, 1981.

By what amount were those fees increased at that time?

They were increased from £20 to £25 for one application and £6 for each additional application. The total amount will be £140,000 extra.

In other words the Minister intends seeing an income of £100,000 in excess of the amount set out in the Book of Estimates.

It is estimated that £140,000 will be received in 1981.

Was that the total?

Yes. That is the total. It is not extra.
