There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application from a person at the address given. However, a grant of £970 was paid on 12 February 1981 to a person of the same name with a slightly different address in the Tramore area.

As notification of completion of reconstruction work was not received on or before 30 June 1981 as required under the Housing Regulation 1980 (as amended) my Department are now precluded from payment of the grant. However, arrangements are being made for payment of a sewerage grant of £150.
Why has the full grant not been paid?
Because the work was not completed on or before 30 June 1981.

There has been no delay in my Department in dealing with this case. An inspection in April 1981 revealed that the house was unoccupied. Following notification by the applicant that the house is now occupied, a further inspection is being arranged with a view to payment of the grant, if in order. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

There is no record in my Department of an application from the person named.
How many such phantom application have been recorded by the Department since this question of reconstruction grants arose?

asked the Minister for the Environment why a solid fuel grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.
The latest date for receipt of application under this scheme was 1 February 1980. The application in this case was not received in the Department until 20 March 1980 and therefore has had to be refused. The applicant has been informed accordingly.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a grant for the installation of a solid fuel heating system to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when payment will be made.
There has been no undue delay in the processing of this application and the grant was paid on 17 July 1981.
