Vol. 329 No. 5

Written Answers. - Lamb Subsidy Payment.

196.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the payment of a subsidy on lambs sold by a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The subsidy in question relates to lambs presented under the mountain lamb extension scheme on 30 April 1980. This scheme operated from 28 January 1980 to 30 April 1980 and under it subsidy was payable only on lambs actually exported during the period of its operation. As the lambs in question were not exported on or before 30 April 1980 I regret that subsidy cannot be paid on them.
