Vol. 330 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Galway School Grants Payment

483.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in the payment of grants for improvements carried out at Cleggan national school, Connemara, County Galway.

The board of management of Cleggan national school, County Galway, installed oil fired central heating without prior authorisation from the Department of Education and the Commissioners of Public Works. On inspection the installation has been found to require modification. The Commissioners will be unable to deal with the payment of a grant until this has been attended to and the vouchers of expenditure are submitted by the board of management.
