Vol. 330 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

11.

asked the Minister for the Environment the position with regard to stage 3 of the south Leitrim regional water scheme.

I have recently approved the preliminary proposals for stage 3 of the south Leitrim regional water supply scheme, subject to certain modifications.

When does the Minister hope to be in a position to make available finance for these works? He is probably aware that stage 2 is nearing completion and the group schemes cannot be connected until stage 3 is under way.

As soon as we get confirmation of the modifications I will be in a position to let the Deputy know.

12.

asked the Minister for the Environment the proposals currently before his Department for the improvement of Ballinamore sewerage scheme, County Leitrim.

There are no proposals currently before my Department for the Ballinamore sewerage improvement scheme.

13.

asked the Minister for the Environment the up-to-date position of the proposals for a sewerage scheme at Castlebridge, County Wexford.

Preliminary proposals for the Castlebridge sewerage scheme were approved in May 1981.
