Vol. 330 No. 9

Written Answers. - West Donegal Bogland.

661.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the necessity to conserve energy, the Land Commission propose to purchase areas of bogland in west Donegal, which in turn may be leased as turbary plots to the many people who are anxious to obtain them.

The Land Commission have no proposals for the purchase of bogland in west Donegal. Such suitable turbary as they have in their possession in the area is let each year on a seasonal basis to meet local demand.
