asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when additional telephone lines will be provided for a firm (details supplied) in Dublin.

Additional lines will be provided for this subscriber as soon as possible. It had been expected that the neccessary cabling would have been completed by now. However, because of the large volume of engineering work on hands and awaiting attention in the Dublin area it is unlikely that this work will be done until well into next year. The possibility of meeting his requirements in some other way is being examined.

The applicant already has telephone service at her medical practice. An application for an extension from the practice to another address will be met as soon as possible but it is unlikely that it will be possible to do so until well into next year.

The provision of a kiosk at this location is not regarded as warranted at present and it is not proposed therefore to provide one there.
