Vol. 331 No. 1

Written Answers. - Extension of Service.

751.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will grant an extension of service to an officer of his Department (details supplied) in County Galway in view of the fact that another officer in the county was recently granted an extension of service.

This officer's application for an extension of service beyond the age of 65 was carefully considered by my Department. Under the rules governing retention of civil servants beyond normal retiring age, he does not qualify for an extension of service.
