Vol. 331 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Office of Public Works Functions.

25.

asked the Minister for the Public Service if he is satisfied that the Office of Public Works in its present form is the most suitable agency to administer land drainage, the maintenance and provision of public buildings, identification and care of national monuments etc; and, if not, his proposals to provide an alternative agency or agencies.

I have no plans at present for the reallocation of functions discharged by the Office of Public Works. The allocation of functions among Government Departments and other agencies is, however, kept under continuous review.
