Vol. 331 No. 9

Written Answers. - Office Block Planning Permission.

409.

andMr. G. Brady asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give particulars of the ministerial permission for the erection of the office block at the junction of Eglinton Road — Donnybrook Road, Dublin 4; and if, in the interests of good town planning and road safety and in order to prevent the deterioration of this residential area, he will use his powers to revoke the permission already given.

On 27 February 1976 planning permission was given on appeal by the Minister for Local Government for a development at 2 and 2A Eglinton Road, Donnybrook, consisting of an office block, with penthouse flats over, together with basement car parking. The permission was subject to conditions requiring the reduction of the block by one floor of offices, the landscaping of the site, the reduction of the car parking provision, the agreement with the planning authority of the limits of the development and the harmonisation of the facades in regard to form and materials. In regard to the second part of the question I have no powers to revoke a planning permission.
