asked the Minister for Finance the amount of legal costs of the prosecution for which the State is responsible in connection with trials and appeals in the Sallins train robbery, County Kildare.

The legal costs for which the State was responsible in respect of the prosecution at the trials and appeals held in connection with the train robbery at Sallins, County Kildare on 31 March 1976 were £73,353.70, being Counsel's fees incurred by the Director of Public Prosecutions Office.
