Planning for the provision of a new Garda station of Mayfield is proceeding in consultation with the Department of Justice. It is not possible at this stage to say when building will commence but there will be no avoidable delay.

It is not possible at this stage to say when building of a Garda station at Gurranabraher will commence. Some legal difficulties relating to the acquisition of the site have been resolved and it is expected that the purchase will be closed shortly. Planning will then proceed in consultation with the Department of Justice.
