Vol. 333 No. 8

Written Answers. - Galway Textile Printers.

924.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy the proposals he has in mind to restore the jobs of the employees of Galway Textile Printers.

Since December 1981, when the company referred to was put in Receivership at the request of its principal shareholders, the IDA have been endeavouring in conjunction with the receiver to have it taken over as a going concern. A number of parties have shown interest in such a possibility but no firm take-over proposals have so far emerged. In the circumstances the IDA are also looking at the possibilities of attracting a new project to the premises.
