Written Answers. - Former Donegal Garda Station.

584.

asked the Minister for Finance if there were stated conditions as to the use to be made of the former Garda station at Creeslough, County Donegal when it was leased for 20 years approximately three years ago; and, if so, these conditions.

Creeslough former Garda station premises was held by the Commissioners of Public Works under assignment dated 17 December 1929 of a lease dated 28 July 1902 for a term of 99 years from 1 November 1901. On the erection of a new Garda station in Creeslough the property was no longer required for State purposes and the State's interest was offered for sale by public competition on 20 July 1979. The State's interest was assigned to the successful tenderer and there were no stated conditions as to user contained in the assignment.
