Vol. 334 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Revenue.

506.

asked the Minister for Finance the amount of revenue (a) wealth tax, (b) capital gains tax and (c) capital acquisitions tax would have yielded in 1982 if these taxes were still in force unamended, except for inflation adjustment.

Following is the information requested: On the assumption that wealth tax, capital gains tax and capital acquisitions tax had remained in force unamended since their introduction except for amendment for inflation the estimated yield in 1982 would be £15 million for wealth tax, £11 million for capital gains tax and £10 million for capital acquisitions tax.
