Written Answers. - Kerry River Drainage.

601.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the grants, if any, available from his Department for drainage works on the Feohanagh River, Dingle, County Kerry.

No application has been received for the drainage of the Feohanagh river. A joint application has however been received for the drainage of a tributary of that river and investigation of this application is almost completed.

602.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when approval will be given for drainage works on the River Daranaugh, Listy, County Kerry.

The proposed drainage works are being investigated. Meanwhile confirmation is awaited from the representative of the joint applicants that the proposed drainage work is acceptable to the South Western Regional Fisheries Board. It will also be necessary to consult with Kerry County Council regarding road bridges.
