asked the Minister for Transport who is responsible for the removal of the derelict boats adjacent to the pier at Kilmackillogue, Lauragh, Killarney; and if he will make a statement outlining the action he proposed to take in the matter.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 615 and 616 together.
The removal of wrecks of this kind is primarily a matter for the owners. My Department are endeavouring to establish ownership in the present case and if their efforts are successful the owners will be requested to arrange for the removal of the wrecks.
