Vol. 334 No. 5

Written Answers. - County Limerick New National School.

591.

(Limerick East) asked the Minister for Finance why the Commissioners of Public Works have not yet forwarded sketch plans of the proposed new national school in Moycross to the Department of Education; and if he will explain the long delay in this matter.

The final brief of requirements for this proposed school was received by the Commissioners of Public Works in November 1981. Sketch plans were received from the architects engaged by the chairman of the board of management in January 1982. Certain items in the plans called for discussion with the architects and the points in question have been clarified. The Commissioners have reported to the Department of Education in the matter. Having regard to the number of other projects in hands there was no undue delay in dealing with the proposals.
