Vol. 334 No. 6

Written Answers. - House Water Supplies.

168.

asked the Minister for the Environment the estimated number of dwelling houses in the country still without running water; the estimated number of such houses in the County Sligo health district; and the percentage these houses constitute of the entire number of houses there.

Out of a total national housing stock of approximately 923,000 at 31 December 1981, it is estimated that 78,000 do not have an internal piped water supply. Approximately 3,300 or 21 per cent of the housing stock in the Sligo county health district are estimated to be without an internal piped water supply.
