In accordance with normal practice, the question of the grant to be paid towards the cost of the proposed extension to Spiddal Convent national school, County Galway, will be taken up with the chairman of the board of management when revised plans and a revised estimate of cost are available to my Department.

asked the Minister for Education when he intends to approve the extension to the post-primary school at the Convent of Mercy, Kanturk, County Cork.
Following an inspection of the Convent of Mercy secondary school premises, Kanturk, County Cork, by a senior architect of my Department, a schedule of accommodation for the proposed extension is being finalised.
My Department will write shortly to the school manager in the matter.
