asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for the immediate payment of £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

This grant will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a person (details supplied) in County Galway has to date only been paid £350 of a new house grant which he applied for in 1975; and if he will now arrange for the balance to be paid.

An instalment of £175 under the old scheme was paid in this case on 6 January 1976. The balance of £150 is not now payable as it was not claimed by 31 January 1980 as required by statute.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. When the inspector called on 2 April 1982 there was nobody at home.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid the £1,000 new house grant.

The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with.

(Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for the Environment when a home improvement grant which is due to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan will be paid; and the reason for the delay in this case.

This grant was paid on 14 May 1982. The delay in this case was due to the fact that the papers became misplaced.
