Vol. 335 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

1004.

asked the Minister for the Environment the cause of the very long delay in paying a house improvement scheme grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry in view of the large number of representations made in this case.

The delay in this case has been due to the failure of the applicant to establish that, on or before 21 January 1980 a contract existed for the carrying out of the works or the necessary materials had been purchased. The applicant was informed of this statutory requirement on 8 May 1980 but has not submitted any evidence to date.

1005.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will receive a house improvement grant.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

1006.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow.

As the Deputy has already been informed in reply to a previous question, there is no record in my Department of the receipt of a new house grant application from the person named.

1007.

(Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for the Environment the cause of the delay in paying a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; and if he will arrange for immediate payment.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.
