Vol. 335 No. 2

Written Answers. - County Sligo School.

742.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the urgent need for the provision of extra accommodation at Mullaghroe national school, County Sligo, and of the very poor and dangerous condition of the school yard; and if, in view of these circumstances, he will make the necessary provisions and take the necessary steps so that work can commence without delay on two extra rooms and on the carrying out of the essential repairs to the school.

I have not been made aware that the board of management of the school consider the situation to be as set out in the question from the Deputy in relation to the matter of a need for extra accommodation or the condition of the school yard.

Under the terms of the relevant circulars from my Department it is open to the chairman of the board of management to take any appropriate measures as may be required in connection with the condition of the school yard.
