asked the Minister for Education if he will make a report on the application by the Presentation Convent Secondary School, Waterford, regarding a major extension; and if he will make a statement with particular reference to when sanction will be given for the building of this extension which is so badly needed in view of the rapidly growing population in the area.

Approval has been given to the authorities of the Presentation Convent Secondary School, Waterford, for the provison of a permanent extension to the school. It is not possible to state at this stage when building work will commence.
