asked the Minister for Social Welfare the net additional yield to the Exchequer which would accrue if the £9,500 income limit for the payment of PRSI were abolished.

The estimated net additional yield to the social insurance fund in a full contribution year from the abolition of the £9,500 income ceiling, is estimated to be of the order of £100 million.
