Vol. 336 No. 3

Written Answers. - Form P.45.

823.

asked the Minister for Finance the action he proposes to take to get a P.45 for a person (details supplied) in Navan, County Meath, who has been unemployed since last July and who, because he has not got the form, is unable either to obtain alternative employment or get unemployment benefit.

The responsibility for supplying a form P.45, when an employee ceases his employment, rests on the employer. From inquiries made by the Revenue Commissioners in this case, there does not seem to have been a cessation of employment and the question of supplying a P.45 has not arisen.
