Vol. 336 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

827.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in paying a headage grant to a person (details supplied) in Tralee, County Kerry.

The person named claimed grants on approximately 14 livestock units under the 1981 Sheep Headage Scheme in the Disadvantaged Areas and was paid in respect of those units on 1 December, 1981. He claimed grants on a further 30.6 livestock units under the 1981 Cattle Headage Scheme in the Disadvantaged Areas but was paid in respect of approximately 16 units only on 31 December, 1981 since an applicant under both schemes in 1981 could be paid on only a maximum of 30 livestock units overall. As the person named was paid all his headage grants for 1981 in 1981, the question of delay in payment does not arise.
