My Department have brought a number of prosecutions under the Wireless Telegraphy Acts for possession of unlicensed broadcasting equipment. This has not, however, been entirely effective in dealing with the problem and I have indicated my intention shortly to seek the approval of the House for a strengthening of the present law.
