Vol. 336 No. 7

Written Answers. - Former School Building.

565.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware of the deplorable condition of the former St. Vincent's School at Hart's Corner, Dublin 7, and that at present it is used as a hangout for delinquents; and if, in view of the fact that this premises is now owned by his Department, he will outline what he intends to do about bringing about urgent improvements at the earliest opportunity.

The former St. Vincent's School and other buildings on the site at Hart's Corner, Dublin, were badly vandalised and partly dilapidated before this property was acquired by my Department. I am making arrangements to have these buildings demolished and to have the site fenced. These works will be commenced as soon as possible. Planning is in hands for the future development of the site.
