Written Answers. - Dublin Telephone and Postal Facilities.

461.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will consider providing a post-box in the Elm Mount area of Artane, Dublin 5.

The letter boxes at Skellys Lane, Celtic Park Road, Collins Avenue and at Donnycarney sub-post office are considered to cater adequately for the posting needs of the Elm Mount area, and there are no plans to provide additional posting facilities at present.

462.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the proposals he has for additional (a) telephone kiosks and (b) post-boxes in the Dublin 3 and 5 postal districts.

It is planned to provide kiosks at the undermentioned places: Dublin No. 3 District — St. Gabriels Road, Dollymount — Dublin No. 5 District — Adare Green, Coolock; Cromcastle Road, Coolock; Greencastle Road, Coolock; Newbury Estate, Coolock.

There are no plans to provide additional letter boxes in the Dublin 3 and Dublin 5 postal districts at present. It is felt that the existing facilities are adequate to meet current posting needs.

The question of providing additional telephone kiosks and letter boxes in the above areas is kept under review and additional facilities will be provided as the need arises.
