asked the Minister for Justice if he will give details of construction projects funded by his Department to be undertaken in County Galway during 1982; and if he will state in each case the amount provided in the 1982 Estimates.
Written Answers. - County Galway Construction Projects.
Premises at Merchants Road, Galway, were acquired by my Department early this year. A sum of £20,000 has been provided in the 1982 Estimates to cover the cost of renovation and adaptation work which is necessary to make the premises suitable for use as a training workshop for young people placed on probation by the Courts. A local committee has been formed to manage the project in co-operation with the probation and welfare service of my Department.

In view of the large number of maintenance and minor works with which my office deals as a matter of routine I will confine my reply to major construction projects which are funded from Vote 9 — Public Works and Buildings. As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement I propose to circulate it with the Official Report.
