Priority has to be given to getting the leaving certificate results out by the middle of August each year. In view of the numbers taking the certificate examinations, it is not then feasible to have the intermediate certificate results ready for issue by 1 September.
However, the school authorities have been informed that it is hoped to issue these results not later than the week beginning 6 September this year.
