Vol. 337 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Subdivision of Lands.

21.

asked the Minister for Agriculture why subdivision was not granted in the case of a person (details supplied) in Roscommon.

An application by the person referred to was fully considered by the Land Commission but was refused because the proposed subdivision would have resulted in splitting up a viable holding into two uneconomic units. Alternative proposals which would be less objectionable from a land structure viewpoint have been suggested to the owner's solicitors.

22.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when it is proposed to divide the remainder of the Lambe Estate at Barley Hill, Grangerosnolvan, County Kildare.

Possession of this estate passed to the Land Commission in October 1981. It is hoped to allot the lands next spring.

23.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when it is proposed to divide the remainder of the Large estate, near Athy, County Kildare.

It is hoped to allot the remainder of this estate next spring.
