asked the Minister for Finance when the special report on sites in areas of archaeological significance which require special procedures will be commenced; and if it will be confined to urban areas likely to be the subject of development

It is proposed to carry out a survey of sites of archaeological significance in urban areas, including those urban areas which once were rural or archaeological sites.

It is the intention that the survey will be carried out under the aegis of the Department of Archaeology, University College Dublin, which has already been asked to furnish proposals for getting the survey under way.
