Vol. 338 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tallaght (Dublin) Telephone Service.

335.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephones will be provided in Fettercairn Estate, Tallaght, County Dublin, having regard to the fact that the nearest public telephone is located in Springfield Estate which is a very considerable distance away and that consequently the Fettercairn Estate is isolated in the event of an emergency; and if he will arrange to have a public telephone provided there as a matter of urgency.

Telephone service will be provided for applicants in the estate named as soon as possible. However, it is unlikely that the necessary cabling can be completed until well into next year.

Arrangements have been made to provide two telephone kiosks in the estate in replacement of two kiosks which had to be recovered because of vandalism.
