My Department have plans to provide a full local office service for the Tallaght area in the proposed new Tallaght Town Centre when it is developed. As that prospect is some time away yet, the provision of temporary premises has been considered. It is proposed that the existing post office premises on Main Street, which will be vacated when the new post office in Tallaght is opened, will be adapted for use as an employment exchange on a temporary basis. The present indications are that it will be late in 1983 before the temporary premises will be operational.
